  1. What is OnForce?

OnForce is the world's largest marketplace for contract IT and CE service professionals. Thousands of VARs, solution providers and service firms use OnForce to find skilled contract techs anywhere in the US or Canada. We have 13,000+ service professionals in a wide variety of IT and consumer electronics categories.

  2. Who uses OnForce?

Service buyers are generally IT firms such as VARs, solution providers, staffing firms, OEMs and retailers. Service pros are typically individual technicians or small IT service shops. For more information, check out our testimonials from service buyers and professionals.

  3. How do I learn more about the company?

OnForce was founded in 2003 as ComputerRepair.com. Our marketplace has been used to complete more than 800,000 work orders in IT and consumer electronics since then. To learn more, check out our company overview, which contains information about our history, our executive team and our board of directors.

  4. What does it cost to join?

Nothing, it's 100% free to join OnForce as a buyer or a professional. There are no subscription fees, no membership fees, no volume minimums and no upfront costs of any kind. You pay only when you use OnForce.

Buyers pay OnForce an US $15 access fee for each work order they send. The total work order value is reserved from the funds in the buyer's account, and these funds are transferred to the pro after the work order has been completed to specification.

Service pros pay OnForce a fee of 10% of the work order total.

  5. How do I learn more or get started?

To learn more, check out our online tutorial or schedule a brief demo. If you'd like to get started on your own, you can sign up for a free account or begin by finding a contract pro anywhere in the US.

  6. How does the rating system work?

When a work order is closed, the buyer and pro can rate one another. There is a six-star scale for each work order. Each pro and buyer has a cumulative rating, as well as separate rating for each work order. This feedback is critical for rewarding good behavior and punishing bad performance. We strongly encourage buyers and pros to rate one, as this ensures high quality within our marketplace.

  7. Can I have a buyer and a service pro account at the same time?

Absolutely. Many of our most successful buyers are companies that have service pro accounts as well. Because OnForce has nationwide coverage, service professionals have the ability to become a national service company in just a few minutes.

  8. Do I have to submit my resume to become an OnForce service pro?

The service professional sign-up is completely online. Just click here and fill out the profile information, including your skills and industry certifications. You can also complete a voluntary background check and drug test through OnForce, which we will add to your profile (some buyers require this for their contract service pros).

  9. If I live outside the United States, can I use OnForce?

Yes. VARs, solution providers and IT service companies from around the world use OnForce to find contract service professionals anywhere in the US (including Puerto Rico, Guam and the US Virgin Islands), or Canada. We will also be opening soon in the U.K. and Germany.
